Hi, all

I just got my X for about 2 weeks, got couple questions regarding clutch and EPS.

I find that its kind of hard for me to find the sweet spot for the clutch. I went in a dealer today (Sierra Acura, Alhambra) I ask the mechanic to drive my X around the block and tell me what he thinks. (I believe his name is Vinh) anyway Vinh told me nothing is wrong with my clutch, at least he didn't think it was at the point where it needs to be replaced. He did replace the clutch master cylinder and flush system. even after this I still find it hard to catch "sweet spot" I have never drive other X before other than mine, so I've ask other previous X owner to drive mine, there impression was the clutch is kind of tight and hard to find sweet spot. (Vinh told me I have stock clutch, even though he didn't open anything to check)

As far as EPS is concern, Acura refuse to replace the unit due to change of suspension (tien) and eps light did not come up. According to the mechanic this may be due to change of suspension, bigger wheels (17/18) and lowering. Other previous owner also told me my car feels completely just like 91 to 94 with manual steering. Honestly this EPS doesn't really concern that great, I guess I just want my X to be perfect, as the way it should.

Anyone know what might be the problem?

How much experience do you have driving a manual trans before buying your NSX? I've found each car I have driven with a manual has a slightly different feel. I had a Civic that grabbed right at the top from the time it was new. 195,000 miles later and the original OEM clutch is still going strong.

had a mazda about 4 years ago. I know each one would feel slightly different, but for my X I just can't seem to find that solid catch.

The stock 2-disc clutch on the 3.0L NSX has a somewhat "vague" engagement feeling compared to many other clutches. Just play around with it in a parking lot to get a feel for it.

I have not heard of other people with aftermarket suspension & wheels having EPS problems but if you are not worried about it I guess it does not matter.

Same feel here on clutch

Three months later and I have good and bad days with my 91 clutch!
Its not like anything I have ever driven.
Differnet shoes or cowboy boots throw me off still.
Maybe another 3000 miles will help me out!
