clutch alignment tool

I am trying to find a "plastic" ie low cost clutch alignment tool for my 97. I can only find a tool for the pre 97.

any help is appreciated.

Clutch splines are the same for all year NSX's.

But...the plastic tools are crap, IMO. They do not fit tight enough.

I just got mine today. I got to say it looks like it would work 1 time and thats it. I don't think its a multiple use tool. The price was right.

The reason I made the comment I did, was I got one of these with a clutch in the past. It was so loose after I used it, the trans would not go back in. Burn me once, but never again would I use the plastic tool.

So what do you use? A custom made one out of aluminum?

I had a cut off mainshaft for the longest time. Now..... I use the factory tool

didnt you look to make sure everything "just about lines up", the old eye ball trick

i have a huge bag of clutch plastic alignment tools i found in the dumpster by the shop. i just put one in after another till it fits snug. :biggrin:
