Recently a bunch of the NE guys have asked me about radios so this is what I have and recommend.

Motorola XU 2100

I like this radio for alot of reasons one of them is because its a motorola and I have always had good luck with there stuff. Second if the Nicad battery fails this radio can also use standard AA batteries.
