Clock spring in window lift assm

I just repaired my drivers door window lift assm. Which way does the (clock) spring go back in. Does in wined up on the way down? Does the outward hook on the spring go to the left or right position on the nylon spring holding drum? Does it get reassembled with the window lift carrier all the way up?
