So I left my car sit for 2 weeks under the cover outside in the summer heat. I went to start it and after it cut on, I noticed no light in on my climate control unit. Usually the green or orange light for inside or outside air circulation is on. It apparently has no power, and will not respond to any buttons pressed. I checked all fuses in all three boxes, and none of them are burnt or have any damage. I guess the heat/humidity burned out my unit. Cause my fan does not work at all, I have no fan, at any speed or response from the unit. I recently got a AVIC f90bt, and was going to have it installed soon. The installer said he could take a look at the climate control unit for me while he has access to it and attempt to fix it for me included if the problem was not major.

I was just wondering if anyone has experience or encountered this issue? If so, was it a big issue to fix? If it is I guess I will just have the unit sent to BrianK and let him work his specialty. I'd really prefer to have the problem resolved while the car is in shop, but I guess that cant be helped if it's a major issue.

Talk to BrianK he is the master with this problem and pricing is not too bad. Definitely well worth it to not deal with the heat.

i had science of speed work on mine when it went out. it now works but only on high and i am told it has something to do with a sensor on the fan itself. but that being said the off switch turns the unit on and on switch turns the unit off...i dont know what thats all about.
