I haven't found a way to turn on the air without having a/c turn on first.

Does pressing auto (left big button) turn on a/c with it?

By the way, just hit 70,014 miles and changed out the oil, filter, and tranny fluid. let the good times roll.

b2 - who is a n00b sometimes...

Press Auto, then press the A/C button to turn off the compressor.

Holy $hit. You just changed that stuff for the first time. Don't you think it was a little overdue. LOL.

So I still have to turn the a/c off. That's just like pressing the a/c button and then pressing it again to turn off the a/c.

There is no solution to go straight to a/c off mode?

It bugs me that I have to turn on the a/c and then have to turn it off right away. Probably puts unnecessarily wear and tear, no matter how negligible it is, bugs me.

I heard that the factory honda break in oil was really good so I figured to keep in there even longer...

Switch the system to A/C off mode. Then don't turn the system off before you turn off the car. I believe when you re-start the car, it will remember that you had it in A/C off mode.

That will definitely work. I guess I'll keep it in this mode from now on. I was hoping there was another way but not a big deal.

Thanks!

I believe you should have the AC system pump around every now and then to keep it all oiled, wet and working.
