climate control possessed

While cruising down I-95 yesterday, my climate control fan starts blowing on high.... it was really bizarre! The climate control unit itself was off, no lights ever came on. I pulled off to the side of the road and turned the radio off. I tried adjusting the fan, hitting the off button, nothing would stop the fan from blowing until I shut the car off.

I'm wondering if this new issue is related or a new problem altogether.

Mine did the same thing starting a few days ago! I can't get it to stop blowing either.

The blower had been intermittant over the past year or so, seemed to straighten itself out, and then BAM! This happens.

Wow....must be catching. The Climate control on my "X" just started to do some crazy things Saturday.

1. Start the car and the fan goes to High (fan control set to low) for 10 seconds or so, then starts functioning normally.
2. Start the car and the Climate control doesn't function at all (no display). Restart the car and display returns and does item 1 above.


Looks like it's time to replace the caps on the control board. I'll pull the board out this weekend and do a complete write-up.
