hey ... .bad day for me..!

when I got out from my garage.. the AC head unit still works ok..

when I go to self serving car wash... I was gonna turn the ac on to blow on the seats after waxing... . THE AC UNIT GOT NO RESPONSE AT ALL!!!!

why is this???
bad day for me!
I spoted 3 scratches as well.. but its not obvious afer waxing...

btw.. my radio head unit got loud beep when I turn it on.. does this got anything to do with the climate control unit failure?

what should I do?

If it is totally dead, the first and easiest thing to check is for a blown fuse.

You said it was while you were at the car wash... did you use the high-pressure spray to clean anywhere under the hood?

Actually I did.. I did it before. I thought it was ok to do it.. ?

it sounds really bad from the way you mentioned it..... !!

You shouldn't use a high pressure washer in the engine compartment or under the front hood. It tends to force water into places that shouldn't have water forced into them.

then what should I do now??
it sounds like very serious problem and cost alots of money..! HELP!

seriously yeah.. and I'm so pissed at myself that instead of spending the money on performance parts.. I might ended up in the climate control system... which sux...

Well if you are sure there is no blown fuse, time to either take it to the shop or start troubleshooting it yourself. There are two possibilities:

1) a power problem
2) a dead climate control unit

To figure out which, remove the unit, turn the ignition on and see if there is power on the connector. If so, you have a bad unit. If not, you need to trace back and find out why there is no power at the connector.

See page section 22-38 (page 926) of the service manual for detailed instructions. http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Reference/1991_svcman/1991_svcman.htm

Have fun!

The problem's solved already..
its back to normal after 2 day of sitting in the garage.

guess the ECU some how detected water in some air con components.. then cutted the climate control off.

after 2 days its back to normal now... thanks for suggestions LUD.

regards

Terence

It's also possible that the water caused a short circuit somewhere, then the problem went away when the water dried up.

In any case, glad to hear it's all better now.

Ken is right, the "ECU" doesn't "detect water" anywhere. The water was just causing a short, so the problem went away when the water dried up.

Keep that high pressure sprayer out of there!
