I have a rythmic clicking sound coming from what sounds like the passenger door which is electrical in nature. If I turn on the ignition switch but not the engine, I can hear it as well as with the engine running. It's not very loud and it comes in doubles Click, Click, short pause and then again and again. I just had both of my door panels off with speakers changed out and the rails lubed and this began right after that...shop did this but I have not taken back in yet--they were thinking it might be the door lock actuator trying to lock the door but I have no problem with the operation of the door locks.
I thought I had seen something like this before in a thread but my searchs turned up nothing under a number of different possibilities...
just added this additional info--when the passenger door is closed it sounds like it's coming from there but when it's open, then I cannot tell for sure as the sound becomes much fainter..
I GET TO ANSWER MY OWN QUESTION AGAIN---found the clicking noise was from switch on the drivers side panel that controls the passenger window--it would not operate the passenger window at all. I then tried the passenger side switch and the window rolled down. I rolled it back up and then used the driver's side switch again for the passenger side and it now operated and the clicking sound was gone.....
