I ran into a curb 3 days ago, ouch. The impact knocked my chin spoiler and the fender out of alignment a little bit; but the steering wheel also make a clicking noise when I turn the wheel, and I don't know what it is. Is it the lower control arm of the suspension get knocked out of alignment too or is it the rack and pinion that's got bent. I need suggestion please, thanks

Does your car pull right or left when you are going straight and let go of the steering wheel. If so, I would most assume something got knocked out of alignment and you should have it looked over.

when you hit the curb did your tire also impact with any force.did the same thing in my mazda and it started pulling hard to the right.turned out I seperated the ply inside my right fron tire fyi.as to the clicking in the steering wheel,I do not know.

Deqle,

This is very hard to recommend anything via e-mail, other then to get it to a shop, up on a lift and inspect EVERYTHING in the front end. All the control arms in the NSX are VERY strong for their purpose, but having them get smacked in a direction not intended (curb bang) could leave them bent. I have seen a lower control arm bend like a pretzel from a curb smack.

The best advise, as mentioned above by MvM, is to have it thoroughly checked out.

Hopefully, it is minor.

Have your wheels, tires, suspension, steering rack checked out thoroughly. I have seen NSXs that hit curbs with bent control arms, bent rims, and sometimes a bubble in the sidewall of the tire. Also depending on how seriously you hit the curb, it is also possible to bend the front frame. You can have the frame checked at any frame and aligment shop with a laser frame measurement system.

The chin spoiler and the fender is already straighten out. I also went ahead and realignment the vehicle , the steering is straight when I am driving, doesn't turn left or right so I take it the control arm is fine, but the noise is still there when I am turning slow like in and out of the parking lot. The guy at the alignment shop said that it is the rack and pinion that caused the noise, if so is it just the joint that's got damage or the whole thing. The quote I got from the dealer for a new rack and pinion is $4500, whooo. Hopefully it's just a small part so I can have it take out and fixed or else this is gonna be ugly. Anybody know where I can find a used rack and pinion, and I really appreciate all the comments, you guys are great. Thanks
