Clearing the E-05 code (CD changer)

Here's the quick 3-step method:

0. Leave the sliding door ajar if your changer is susceptible to this error.

1. Turn the head unit off.

2. Turn the ignition on (head unit still off!).

3. Press the magazine back into place.

The changer will now eject the CD back into the magazine, and everything will be back to normal.

Dear Sir-

Thanks for the great advice. I can't wait to go home and try it out. Only one problem............I think that my changer door only opens a crack or so, therefore I don't know how I will push the cartridge back into place. I will probably try a knife. Will keep you informed.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! MY CD CHANGER WORKS FINE AGAIN! The cartridge had popped up afterall.
