classic in red

danpiu,

A couple of friendly suggestions for safety:

Though your belts are routed neatly… According to the SCCA they are not routed correctly (More stringent belt rules are a result of the Dale Earnhart crash). The belt should run under the bar first, then through the buckle, then back through the rear slot of the buckle again.
This will also allow you to finish the job similar to the way you have it now. The mandate isn’t that you need to start above or below the bar, just that they want you to route through the buckle twice.

One other thing- they suggest that you somehow tie the two buckles from spreading; I use a strong but lose zip tie.

The “Rev” is the smallest of the seats (Also what I use) most people would be too big for it, so on the other side I put the largest seat “2000”. It matches perfect, just has the embroidered 2000 instead of Rev. This way I can also swap seats if someone like Cunningham drives the car.

RacerX-21 -
thank you for giving me some useful tips. I will talk to my car mechanic. As i know, as a Chief-Tuner he is responsible of a well known racing - team at porsche super cup in Germany. So I was a little surprised of your complaints concerning the belts that are installed irregular. I'll keep you informed what the men does mean about it. anyway, it feels very good and I feel safe with the new belts. to the second point you added, I have to agree with you. the seat is very tight for a usual passenger. my girlfriend was the benchmark. even thoug she has a nice filled butt, she had no problems to sit in. So I prefered a symmetric radical sportive line in my car instead of 100% comfort.

I chanced the gearshift, (self-made production on turning machine) but to me still to small!!!! I prefer to have a 10 or 11 inch. (25 cm) ... I ensure, it is much more exciting with larger gearshift! ;) WHAT do you think ????

wooooow!!! I'm so impressed of it !!! this is the style I am looking for...what do you think of its reliability ?

Danpiu nice seats. How much $$$ did you pay for it. Did you use different railing to put the seats on? I'll try to save some money after I'm done with the Sorcery bodykit.:D

love the seats and the colour combo..

it's given me some expensive ideas!

That is a lot of `red.`

Jin1976:

I paid a lot of !!...;(
seats REV Fiberglass: 2 x 450$ = 900$
Belts: 2 x 300$
Bar with red Painting: 70$
Rails Taitec ordered at scienceofspeed: 2 x 220$
Shipping costs: 250$ ;(
car mecanic works total: 1200$
momo steering wheel: 250$
gearing shift: 50$

total costs: 3800 - 3900$

this is the price you have to pay for increase the racing feeling.

hi david ! of course I made sure that belts are street legal. on the other hand it is not allowed to uninstall the original belts. in this case I will keep them.
my only care was the fact that I had to take out my airbag. It is not forbidden, but you have to inform your insurance company. that is all.
steering wheel must have a diameter of minimum 32cm!

Thanks for the info !

However, do you have to use the only the stock belts when you drive on the road and the harness on tracks only or are you allowed to use the harness on the road as well ?

I don't really know. as I know it is forbidden. But i don't give a fuck!
I experienced that NSX-drivers enjoy a privilege concerning tuning modifications. some cops bend the rules I think. anyway, if they catch me I pay the 40 bucks.

seats are comfortable enough. you can drive 200 miles or more without any problems. at the other side you feel like drivin a real sportscar! It was the best investment that I have ever done to my nsx! :D

Is that red bar a custom Bar? does it just mount straight accross? And how did it improve in performance.....BTW very nice setup...getting my all edgy about doing something similar haha

yes, it's a customized bar. my car mechanic painted it in the same red like the car. he ensured to me that the bar is as stiff as the usuals we can buy. anyway, the original belts are still installed ;)
