Chuckwalla Valley HPDE June 4th

I signed up for this HPDE event at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. I've never heard of this track so I think its kind of new.

I was wondering if any Primers might be attending.

The event is on June 4th and it looks like on the 5th the Corvette Challenge, S2K Challenge and Miata Challenge will be running on the track.

Chuckwalla opened about a year ago. I have run it twice in my Honda S2000, in both directions, CW and CCW. Absolutely a great road course. The tarmac is really smooth with lots of grip. On June 4, I would expect it to be pretty hot and windy out there. Go for it, better than Buttonwillow for sure.

Looks cool. Too far for me though... I think Buttonwillow is about as far as I'd be willing to drive for a track day.

I'll go to Thunderhill or Reno-Fernley, which are further for me than Chuckwalla is for you. I wouldn't drive that far for one track day, but on a weekend, I'm there.

Yes, it's been open a little over a year and has become my "home track". I've been on it for about 8 days in the last 12 months.

Super-low-key track events, and I love the layout. I'll be going back out there in September when they reopen after the sumer heat shuts them down. Just don't know if I'll be still brining the NSX at that point of if I woud have a found a true boy racer to muck around with out there..

My family and I had a great time. Nice track...reminds me of Buttonwillow. It started getting hot later in the day. It was 94 when we left at 2:00 but I'm sure it can get much hotter than that later into the summer.

There were only 2 groups (Advanced & Intermediate) and the groups were small so lots of track time (5 sessions) and fun all around.

Another 91 red NSX showed up....very cool guy from San Diego.
