Chuckwalla Raceway Feb 4-5, 2012

As always had a great time with NASA-AZ out at Chuckwalla Raceway in Desert Center, CA.

However, we were plagued with a cylinder sleeve leaking problem during the entire time causing major over heating issues. Never got to complete more than 3 hot laps and would have to come off track and add 2 gallons of water back into the cooling system and bleed after each session.

Had to short shift all sessions, misfiring above 6,000 rpm and never really got a chance to settle in to a rhythm or feel comfortable on the track at the speed I should be driving this track at. At most I was only able about to complete 18 laps the entire 3 day weekend which made it a very frustrating weekend since I've never been on Chuckwalla before :-(

But…..drove it to the track, got 3 TTU sessions, did the UMS TA on Sunday and drove it home

Now on to fixing the problem….

Should you have the chance, Chuckwalla is an incredible track relatively close to LA, San Diego, and Phoenix.

Car ran at 138 degrees water temp (no boost) all the way home, spit and sputtered here and there, but she got me home..LOL...

It's so nice to have you out there with us on a regular basis now. I enjoy seeing you, camping out, spending the time with you and just enjoying you're company.
