I read that they are doing away with giving out the license plate frames and that all donations are tax deductible, but no more plates or id cards.

I guess a lot of people were trying to sell the plates on ebay or fake ones on ebay for a lot of dough.

The California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable organization. Yep, alot of fake plate frames came into the market and the foundation decided to stop giving them as part of the membership. You can still join and participate in any upcoming events  (or attend by paying a different price)

That Tesla that zipped by at 2:07 of the first video was too quiet.:biggrin:

All that aside, exactly what is the summarized version of the 11-99 Foundation? I always wondered about that since I saw the plates on lots of the exotics at shows. I went to the site and again, pretty general. What does one get for joining? Just curious...

Donating to a worthy cause can reap many rewards. One would be going to a few events with those other exotics

Per their website:
The financial support provided by individual donors enables the members of the California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation's Board of Directors to assist thousands of worthy CHP family members each year. Donations large and small positively impact the lives of the men and women of the CHP and their families. By donating to support the CHP 11-99 Foundation's programs, you have the opportunity to make a direct and tangible difference in the lives of the men and women who work tirelessly to maintain the safety of all Californians.

Seems odd to me to drive with illegal mods next to a chp lol. That was an awesome turnout though.
