A group of us went to the last night showing of the Chihuly Glass exhibit at the Botanical Gardens last night and we were lucky that the weather cleared up in time for the viewing. For those unfamiliar with the artist Chihuly, if you went to NSXPO 2004 the large green sculpture in the lobby of the Corning Museum of Glass was one of his pieces. Here are some samples of his work displayed at night.

Hi Bob;

Nice pictures as always - Thx for sharing them Yes Yes I do remember the big blue at Corning - My Question is was it Cold & Windy as hell at the
Chihuly exibit (that was in NYC??)

Regards
Clem

PS; Tony couldnt take night shoots like that could he ?? What do u think
Roger?

Hey Clem,

It was a bit chillier than the weather we had at NSXPO in Florida but it actually turned out better than we had expected. We will see if Tony can take shots like this because he was with us although, in all fairness, he was very preoccupied with Bags commenting on the "frigid conditions" (it was actually in the mid-50's - - - both the temp and the wind speed).

Tony is incapable of taking pictures like Bob, even when using his new $5,000 lens that he tried to sneak in past Bags, but even so, he is improving. Bob is still in a class by himself!!:biggrin:

I think you are referring to this lens:

It wasn't really appropriate to use it at the gardens last night unless I wanted to take pictures from the parking lot :smile:

Bags, I can't believe that Tony bought not only the $5,000 lens, but this other lens as well, all that, and he's making you drive his old leftovers, with over 200,000 miles. I really think that he needs to buy you the car of your dreams!!!!!:biggrin:

200k miles is a gross understatement. That car has over 286K miles. I've offered her brand new cars (not leftovers as you say) but she is still waiting for her dream car to be invented - perhaps she will choose the next generation NSX :smile:

wow they are awesome, I actually saw the first few in Borgata too, maybe they got it from them? hehe :tongue:
