Checked out this 2005 NSX at the dealership (I'm always interested in looking at NSX's, not saying i'm in the market, just looking) and thought I would mention two things that caught my eye:

1. Acura logo is missing on the center tail lamp.
2. Upon close inspection, the corner of the passenger rear quarter panel appears to have odd texture on a portion of the paint. It's on the edge of the quarter surrounding the tail lamp near the blinker, a 6" by 1" section. Not sure what's going on there but I say look closely. Front passenger fender has a tiny ding and a handful of rock chips. Not sure if there was anything else but these things caught my eye.
3. Vin tags looked like they all matched.

JH4NA21605S000060 NFR/Onyx 6 speed update

I learned from a Hagerty News blast that this NSX was entered into the upcoming RM Sotheby's Amelia Island Auction March 8-9, 2019, as Lot # 109. Present mileage at 9,200, and estimated to sell at auction for $100,000 - $120,000.

This beauty has truly been "around the world." Re-creating its travels:

- Born at Suzuka, Japan
- No apparent record listing in American Honda/Acura's database
- Shipped new to San Juan, P.R. per RM Sotheby's current auction listing
- Popped up for sale by Chicago Motor Cars on ebay January, 2017, listed FS on a Manufacturers Statement of Origin (MSO) for a buy it now (BIN) of $130,000 USD. My notes from the for sale listing photos were "looks great and OEM except for noticeable wear on driver's seat and bolster - pass seat also appears worn: Elmwood Park, IL: new tires 3 keys photo of MSO: mileage 9,113."
- Popped up for sale again ebay 5-27-2017 listed by Costa Mesa, CA's, Eurocar dealership
- Per post 6-2-2017 inspected in person by fellow NSXPrimer supra2nv
- Apparently sold by Eurocar and exported to Switzerland 2017 (per RM Sotheby's current auction listing)
- And now back in the USA! Notice that the rear Acura badge is still missing, as observed 6/2017 by supra?

It will be interesting to see what this $ample pulls. We'll again see if 2002-newer NSX's can be $100,000 cars (per thread in General NSX discussion above).

RM Sothebys also makes inaccurate statements about it, such as "replacement of twin exhaust tips with quad units" and "coupe was discontinued leaving targa."

Post Script 3-13-2019: Sold for $128,800 including buyer's fee. See http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showt...K-Cars/page5?p=1991375&viewfull=1#post1991375
