Well I don't post often, but watch carefully. I use the search option alot. These 2 threads really got my attention:

WORLD INNOVATION !! AP BIG BRAKE KIT with Stock Caliper

&

2 piece nsx rotors for oem calipers

Looking at them I can't help but think how many people complain about NSX brakes. At the same time, It seems so many cars come with better brakes, including the new 04 3.2TL 6speeds.

I was then informed that many 5-bolt honda and acuras share the same knuckle pattern for the calipers. This is why so many v6 accords like to upgrade to 3.2tl brembo brakes.

So my interest started increasing.

The question is, first is that incorrect info? if not, is it possible for a Brembo caliper from an 04 3.2tl 6-speed to fit our NSXs?
04 3.2tl w/ Brembos:
310x25mm Front
(Rear are 282, but aren't brembos)

Then I read the 05 3.5RL is suppose to use 320mm up front, and 310 out back... I also know brembo makes a bolt up caliper to 97+ stock rotors for $1000k a kit.

Can I grab a set of 2-peice rotors from the above 2 links for cheap, and make my own BBK using an RL Brembo Caliper up front for roughly $1250 (I can get 3.2tl Brembos for $400 a set, slightly used, so wait a few and expect the same for the RL) and spend about $750 on the rears to get a well functioning BBK at all 4 for less then $2k?

I've heard the horrors of DOT-approved SS braided lines for NSXs, and although I have them on my other vehicles and have had no failures, seem to be reserved from installing them on my NSX. But Figure using the above combo, with Axxis Ultimate Pads (Care about Brakes first, then brake dust...) Its hard not to think of the possiblities of having a great upgrade for cheap (not cheap, but compared to the scope of the job...)

Go ahead and flame me , as I didn't dig anything up using the search function about using OEM parts for a BBK. ;)

Thanks in advance.

Just to let you know over in the UK my dads car is the development car for AP Racing. As far as i know it will be a world first for the NSX..

6-pot front and 4-pot rear with 330mm discs both ends. The drawings are being made and the kit should hopefully we available in 2 months time, presuming there are no hold ups.

Note sure where you heard the horror stories about the SS braided lines on the NSX, I've had 2 sets on the car and the car has been driven hard and I've never had any problems with the lines. Stay with reputable vedors like Goodridge and you'll be fine.

Well, I know someone has installed current 04 3.2TL Brembos up front with the Border Rotors (had to machine the calipers to fit over 310x28mm instead of 310x25) I know that would be set for the front, and I would try and find somethine similar for the rears.
