Cheap 2003 conversion.....

Hey, I just came saw this on Ebay.

At first glance, its sounds like a good deal. But then the fit doesn't look right. It uses 91-01 fenders still, and doesn't include HID lights either. If you gonna mod an NSX, might as well do it the right way... not like this.

And why is he showing pictures of the Volk NSX, which is an actual MY02 car -- especially since the Volk car doesn't have the traditional 02 hood??

I think that's all you need to do the conversion...(w/ HID of course)
I believe 1st and 2nd gen NSX share the same fenders... correct me if I am wrong.

I'm pretty sure the fenders have to be changed. Or atleast that's what I have heard.

Because he has not supplied:

1) The the OEM HID (maybe you can use the SoS kit - I am not sure?)

2) The updated front valence/bumper (going to look funny turning with all those blinker lights going off!)

3) The OEM hood (the C/F one they provide is most likely much less expensive then OEM)

4) The wheels/tires

5) The rear end changes (lip spoiler, valiance, etc)

The early fenders are compatible. The auction states that the bumper is included (well, bumber anyway).

I spoke to the seller over the phone...

FYI, the pieces DO NOT include the front bumper INNER parts...(i.e. front bumper support, brackets, or any other pieces) only the outer bumper cover.

There was one on ebay just last week, maybe the same guy. It was relatively cheap, I think around $375 w/ BUY IT NOW, but no one did. It would have made better business sense to make these hoods for pre-2002 NSXes first, then expand offerings to 2002 later after recouping some $$. There just aren't that many 2002's out there, my 2 cents.
