changing wheels

I love the ride of my 92 nsx (stock rims - 15"-16"). If I were to update to the newer size dimension wheels (16" and 17"?) Is the ride feel significantly different? I've have ridden in some cars with low profile wheels where I felt every single crack in the pavement (Yes I know the handling is much better).

Not with a 95 + OEM wheel.

And most cars with larger rims have also been lowered which stiffens the ride.

I just made the switch from stock 91-93 wheels to stock 94+ wheels. The ride is mildly but definitely harder; you feel a bit more of the expansion strips, cracks in road, etc.
