Welcome to the sunny & hot Arizona.....
Hasn't been much lately, but the guys seem to do things on a regular basis..
I'm opening up a shop on October 15 on the boarder of Tempe/Scottsdale. I plan on having an open house around then and if there's enough interest, a meet/tech session on a Saturday once a month since we will be closed to the general public on the weekends.
I have 2 full time factory trained Honda/Acura team leader technicians with 10+ years experience each that also own NSX's that will be working at the shop everyday that are coming from major Honda/Acura dealerships.
The location is 1126 N. Scottsdale Road, Tempe, AZ. I have the entire NW corner of Scottsdale and Curry Road in the shopping center, pretty much a private area with private parking. About 5000 sf of
shop/retail space and enough parking for 20 cars. More about it when I get a little closer to opening. It will be a full service and speed shop.

I know what you mean. I live on the NW side and it would have been nice not to have to drive so far everyday. The upside is I'll drive the NSX everyday to the shop :biggrin:
The deal I got on this location was just too good to pass up. Easy to get to though, it's about 2 blocks North off the 202/Scottsdale Road exit.

I know guys, my first choice was on the west side since I live in the area of Lake Pleasant & Williams. But decent locations that were safe, secure and worth having were 1.00 to 1.25+ a sf without cam charges. And.... they were tucked away in industrial area's. 5000 sf would have cost me 5 to 6 grand a month + the cam charges. Higher rent only drives the cost up for service & parts all around.
Where the shop ended up was a screaming deal. I have the whole corner of Scottsdale & Curry, 3200 sf of shop space and 1800 sf of retail space with my own private parking area for customers. The retail space was needed so I could split it up between the speed shop retail area & my Bowling Pro Shop. The visability is incredable from Scottsdale Road and the access to the shop is really easy off Curry with it's own driveway into the parking area.
The best part is I leased the corner and all the space for less that $1.00 a sf including cam charges. It was just to good a deal to pass up....I am going out there today and will take and post a picture of the location so you can see what I'm talking about.
