CHAMP CAR RACE in Houston!!!

Awesome! After a long absence, Grand Prix is back!!!! The first time I went to it in Houston, I watched as the Mayor of Houston, Lee Brown 6'4 and 260 lbs, climbed into a Red NSX driven by none other than Mario Andretti for a hot lap around the track. Forever will it be etched in my memory. Who would of thought that years later, I would get a red NSX.

I will be there for Friday & Saturday night racing for sure.
Don't want to miss either one.

This would be a great oppurtunity to get a Big Tex meet for this weekend.

volunteered!

That’s a good idea, and...

Who wants to get in touch with the organizers of this event so we can potentially setup a paddock or place to park?

Best Of Luck

Who wants to get in touch with the organizers of this event so we can potentially setup a paddock or place to park?

For the inaugural race many years ago - Texaco Grand Prix, at the time - a local Acura dealership and I tried to do exactly this, with no success. Something about the safety trucks were Toyota (and I think they were a sub-sponsor back then) resulted in the "no-special-parking-for-an-Acura" attitude.

Ironically one of the pace cars was an NSX, so that was good enough, I suppose. The stable of pace cars is owned by CART, so the race organizers had no say in that matter.

Have you guys bought tickets yet?

That’s awesome, Nick!

How about if I order on Monday? It will give some of these folks a few days to decide if they want go so we can try to have everyone in the same grandstand. Do you have a preference for grandstand? It looks like 1, 2, and 4 are currently available.

No preference on the grandstand's location, but it will be better to seat higher up on the stand.

But if you select Grandstand 1 or 2, you can see/hear them shifting gears on the long straight.

Nick, Ojas,
Which grandstand are you guys gonna take ?? 1 or 2 ??
Let me know so I can get my tickets at the same area ..

Cheers .. Gus
