CF Type R spoiler request for silverstone owners and question

I did a search and could not find what I am looking for. I remember a while back there was a guy in the UK who had a complete type r conversion but his car was sebring. In any case, I just ordered one from Downforce and am wondering what others with silverstone did as far as painting goes. I saw in my search query how some ppl suggested painting the sides the color of the car and leaving the rest CF. Does anyone with a silverstone NSX have this spoiler and if so, got any pics?
Paint the sides and leave the rest or leave it all CF?

I think it would look odd to just have this part CF since my top is body colored and not black.
Thanks in advance

Matt

That was the thread. And seeing it on the sebring silver didn't look right to me (in my opinion). I was hoping that someone with a silverstone had it already and had pics of it unpainted. I am hoping it looks better on a darker color than that light silver.
Makes me wish I had a black top then all of this would be a moot point.

You may ask why I got the thing in the first place then. I got it because I love the spoiler but am debating on painting the whole thing to match my car (is that blasphemous to do so?).

Bro,

I felt the same way. I even painted my roof red to match the body and wasn't sure it would like the CF NSX-R contrast with the red paint. Well, I tell you what, it looks sick. Im now become a CF JDM parts whore. Looks unreal and nothing hotter than the color contrast. Silver, Yellow, Orange, Blue...whatever your rockin', its hot. I just bought my S2000 last week and ordered a BYS duckbill CF spoiler and a CF factory style front lip already.

well if you ordered peter's DOWNFORCE wing, keep it in the CF finish. you coulda saved yourself a buck by just going the FRP route if you were going to end up painting it (as the net weight savings seems very minimal on the BIG picture).

his CF work is beautiful, and worth looking at. i know something vance and erick (and peter) have been doing is, to get their carbon kandy coated with a smoke tint... so that that weave is less obvious (almost black by night) and then a subtle weave texture in sunlight... looks SUPER cool...

CF (unless its like dry carbon race parts) is meant to be seen... sorta like girls who rock lacey g-strings... haha... (its meant for people to look at man)

Thanks for the pics and the words of advice. I can't wait to receive my wing.

you won't be dissappointed...

Hi Matt,
So what did you decide to do about the spoiler? I have an 03 silverstone and was thinking about doing the Type R hood and spoiler. I know the hood will look good painted to match the car, but was unsure about painting the wing. I'm not a big fan of the CF look. Thanks Rob

I will let you know once I get the spoiler in my hands. I am leaning towards leaving it CF first.
I will post pics once it's here and on the car
