How do you remove the center tail light? I got the plastic screws off & looked behind the trunk carpet but only saw the key lock linkage . Do you have to take the linkage apart to remove the lense? THANKS

Once you take the carpet out there are four nuts that you need to remove. You should see four long screes sticking out towards the inside of the trunk. You will need a deep socket to get to the nuts (I think 10mm).

I think you have to remove the tail light assemblies as well. I am trying to remember how I did it.

shouldn't have to.

If you only want to remove the center, say to drill some holes and rid yourself of the condensation, you definitely DO NOT need to remove the two side units.

At least I didn't when I did it two weeks ago.

I took the four nuts off & it came right out. I used a hair pin, heated it with a lighter red hot & poked holes at the bottom. Condensation is gone, my question is, do you just put it back together with holes at the bottom or seal it up with silicone rtv then put it back together. THANKS for every ones help

If you had water in it b4 you will get it again so you will have to leave the holes open unless you stop the water from coming in. Along the top is a piece of plastic held on with screws, remove it and silicone the joint where the lens meets the backing. I did this to my tail lights and have had no water problems since.
