Hey guys, quick question.
Are there any other companies that sell after market center consoles besides SOS and Dali Racing? I did a search but everything I find references SOS and Dali.

Thanks for your help!!

Please make a carbon fiber one with a like factory fit! It would sell I promise!

Downforce do make one, but it is only for the center console overlay, not the vent above it. Back Yard Special make a complete set, but it is over 1000 bucks. You have to specified LHD when order the piece.

Have you seen the c/f one dali makes some have said the c/f weave does not extend to the edges?? Brandon ever get the nitrous kit?

There is a vendor who produces the console piece for around $450, I am not sure if they sell it in a retail capacity, but I buy a lot of porsche parts from them - I could send an email and inquire about bulk pricing, if there is interest?

Is it a CF console? If so, I would be interested if the quality is good.

DALI MAKES BOTH...

he has a CF one and an FRP one....and a GOOD PRICE

If Mark doesn't rip you off by taking your money and never sending the part then yeah its a good price:mad: . However, the quality of the console looks like someone with no experience tried to design one for the first time and failed, but sold it anyways............ask me how I know!

I have the dali console now, but am less than pleased with the product; I was considering buying one of these consoles for my personal car, but other projects have taken over.

Standard price is $437, plus shipping; I would have to inquire to see if they produce a LHD unit, and to determine pricing... if there is interest I can try for some group pricing, but it is quite a jump from a $150 Dali console to a $450+ console. I would imagine it is far more common to simply paint over the (bad) carbon fiber from the Dali piece.

Here is a picture of the console I am referring to (note, the carbon fiber covers the entire surface, unlike the dali unit):

I installed the dali 'carbonglass' console in my previous NSX, quality/fit/finish is bad, plain and simple. I worked with it as much as I could and was able to get it to fit a little better, but was never happy with it.

I would be willing to pay $450 for a good quality CF center console any day of the week!!

same here 450 sounds very reasonable

Semnos_NSX can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he might be referring to a similar part that Dali and SOS provide (like this), but from a different vendor. Downforce lists having a fiberglass center console, and is priced @ $125. But maybe Semnos_NSX was referring to CF...

The OEM trim is an amazing piece of engineering in it's own right. It is large in size yet does not easily succumb structurally to the elements. The fit and finish on it is nothing short of perfect. Honda finished in a black chrome electroplate and coated it in a plastic to give it scratch resistance and durability. It does not get brittle and it takes a lot to get it to warp.

Reproducing this part properly poses several challenges. The screw locations for the ashtray, cointray and aspirator fan, the tabs used to secure it to the top and bottom need to be strong, the curve for the parking brake, the bevels for the stereo and climate control, the slotted opening for the aspirator fan, the heat resistance on the material used, etc.

Only problem is that the electroplate tends to bubble up. I don't think anyone will ever produce a piece that comes close to what Honda made. If you doing anything like deleting the stereo, ashtray, or mounting something in it, I'd highly encourage modifying the original piece if you want it to fit nicely. Every aftermarket piece I've seen looks far too subpar for something that is in plain view.
