Cell Phone "Do not Call" List

Folks,

If you are not aware, on January 19, 2006 all of our cell phone numbers will become public and available to telelmarketing companies. If you get a call from a telemarketer, it will be a hit on YOUR cell phone minutes, and they are perched for an assault on us.

Now that is just BS to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call 888-382-1222 to be added to the National "Do Not Call" list. It takes about 20 seconds, I just did it. It is valid for 5 years.

Make sure you're calling from the number you wish to have added to the list.

Nothing but a big hoax. This story has been reported on by our local news a couple of times already.

Hadn't heard the "hoax" part. I was concerned that it was an organization actually collecting numbers, but went to the site www.donotcall.gov and it seemed legit (FTC site)

I've been on the Do Not Call registry for a few years now and I've noticed a marked decrease in marketing calls. I added my cell numbers a couple months ago, just in case.
