CEL code 16

MY CEL showed a code 16 recently. I noticed the engine was running a bit rough at idle so decided to change all the injectors. Engine is now smoother but CEL is still on with a code 16. I checked all the resistors and they were 6 ohms. I pulled the clock fuse but the CEL still shows a code 16. Any suggestions?

Did you remove the jumper wire from the service check connector before resetting?

yes I removed the jumper before reset.

Are you sure you are getting a 16 code, one long and 6 short? Might it be 1 short and 6 short?

its definitely a code 16, I have counted the flashes and checked the durations maybe a hundred times. COuld it be a fault in the ECU or a bad contact somewhere? I checked the resistors at the connection in the engine bay but have not poked around the ECU yet.

Yes it could be a bad ECU the best way to test that would be to swap with a known good ECU. Have you checked the resistance of each injector?
