I currently have my primary car in the shop...have to drive NSX for a week or so. Well here in the lovely state of Florida we have copious amount of rain. So after a heavy rain i jump in the NSX and fire her up. Well i get a CEL with 4 long, 4 fast blinks. Car was very low on fuel, so i drove 20 miles for fuel. filled car up and wham light goes off. I drive it for about an hr and no CEL.
Wow CEL for low fuel....too easy. go to my appt come back out start car CEL comes back on 4 and 4. Drive down the road light goes off.
Car runs fine, no hesitation loud noises. could it be the rain? never really had my car in the rain. Is this her way of punishing me or is there a bigger problem? any help would be appreciated.

The Service manual indicates that a "44" is for the rear fuel supply system failure, and is watching the rear O2 sensor to trip this code. I would think you have a rear O2 failure, more likely the heater has failed in the O2 sensor itself and when the unit is upto temp after driving then it functions correctly and the check engine light goes off, after the sensor has cooled and you start the car again the O2 sensor is not being heated and is reading out of spec.

If you have a 91-94 you will have two sensors and a 95-2005 will have four sensors, I would replace the sensors as pairs, depending on the year either both upstream or both downstream sensors, then reset your ECU by pulling the clock fuse and drive the car for about 20 min to let the ECU relearn the fuel trims. You can buy the O2's from Acura but they are expensive, you can find them on line for a lot less, but you should buy the sensors that are made specific for the car, that have the connector already on the sensor, these units will be plug and play once you get the old ones out of the exhaust.

You may find it is easier to just order them from Chris @ SOS here is a link.
