Anybody ever use something that actually fixes scratches on cd's? I've heard and seen stuff out there, but have never tried them. Most of my cd's are scratched from taking them in and out of the cases and taking them in and out of the car. I keep them in one of those big Case Logic binders, which seems to do more harm than good. I want to get them all scratch free and put everything on an I-pod or something similar.

This is what I use on my aluminum car parts, but also on cds.

I saw a used CD/DVD store using the set up on all the used discs they buy to sell.

If it's minor scratches/hazing, you can always try a mild abrasive such as toothpaste. Same concept as removing scratches from clearcoat. I've done this successfully on some CD's/DVD's and PS2 games that got scratched up.

For the minor stuff a plastic polish like Novus or Meguiar's work well. For the deeper stuff I've successfully used the kits sold for filling in the scratches.
