CD mode not coming up ?!

First, let me apologize if this has been talked about in a previous thread. Please show me where, I have been uncapable of finding it myself (looked in FAQ & search).

The owner manual says that when pressing the AM/FM button on the radio/tape deck, it will eventually cycle for CD. Mine doesn't. Is that because an actual CD Changer needs to be hooked on in order for the display to cycle into CD mode ?

yes, Alex; it will only cycle to CD if you have changer installed.
