CD Changer (OEM) Question

So I tried searching the FAQ (search link was broken) and the message board seach "CD" had too few characters, and it won't allow "CD changer" as a single string, so here goes

Is the OEM 6 disc changer the same for all model years (or are they at least fully compatible between years?

get a 634 mp3 model if you're considering getting one though!

I'm getting a Phatnoise Phatbox and giving it a shot, if it works, I will bring it to the October 4th meet.
