CD changer connection

I am installing a changer w/ bracket in the trunk of my NSX that did not come w/ one. The connection is already in the trunk but on the drivers side and the change mounts on the passenger side. Can the connection be rerouted or should I get an extension?

There's really no way to re-route that - you should get an extension.

I know that ALL car come with the cable between the console & the trunk, but I am starting to believe now that the addtional cable across trunk may have been part of the add-on option kit with the changer. (makes sense - that one is easy to add, the one front console to trunk involves a lot of work!)

yep. My car never originally had a changer installed, and didn't come with this cable. The carpet on the side where the changer installs is even different, no holes for mounting or for the cable to pass-thru were in mine.
