Caught a guy trying to break in my trunk

I was with my 2 friends when we went to a Home depo last Saturday to buy some stuff soo i parked next to him. It was the home depo in the van nuys area ( not a great of places) so as we were walking out coming back to the cars i notice some teenage kid around my car soo i Figures he must be just looking at the car so i kepted walking towards it along with my friends. But then he takes out his keys and sticks it in my trunk and starts jiggling his keys and i was like "AYE WHat the Fu#k ARE YOU DOING!?" and he saw us and what he said was "uh i misplaces my car and i thought this was it" soo then he starts clicking his remote key on his keychain searching for his car i'm like "misplace your car? WTF! how the fucc you you misplace an NSX" my other 2 buddies we're about to beat this guy down but i just kinda let it slide. Dont wanna cause any trouble. I'm glad my car is not gonna be around that area anymore. but serious "i mispace my car?" lol i wanted to laugh and beat his ass at the same time
 
Took a really big man to do what you did, I'm sure you already know that. It was his lucky day he didn't run into someone less forgiving. (ex. myself) Any damage to the lock? :tongue:
 
You should have allowed him to open the trunk. Then you could have whacked him and stuffed him into it and drove off.:wink:
 
You are 'nicer' than me. Unless the guy visits the gym a lot more often than me he probably would have had a bad day. I wouldn't do any permanent damage to him, but he probably wouldn't go back to that home depot any time soon.
 
Yeah. I was at Home Depot the other day. I guess there were about 15 or 20 other NSX's in the parking lot. I could see how he could get confused.:rolleyes:

The other really stupid thing was that he was breaking into your TRUNK. Does anyone carry anything in their trunk except instant detailer.:biggrin:

Also reminds me of when I lived in Scotland and someone tried to steal my previous NSX. There were only 15 in all of Scotland. Police told me it was a professional ring and it was going to a container for overseas shipment.

You did good.
 
naw no dmgs he didnt get a chance to do anything major since he just got there. he was like 17-19 years old kid small stature look like a wannibe gangster. I also didnt want trouble for my friend since he lives around there and they might reconized his car and try something on him.
lol i was thnking the same thing "wtf does he want in my trunk? he can have the oily rags and my detailing kit lol.
 
wow, you handled it a lot better than i would have.. that would have been hilarious if you offered to help him find it tho :biggrin:
 
i would have called 911 to report a car break-in / theft in progress as soon as i saw him @ the car. no telling how many other cars they've broken in to in the neighborhood / area.
 
Best to be cool in these situations...unless you never want to drive that NSX in that city again. If you had made it tough on him, you can bet he and/or his friends would come across your car in the future and enjoy keying it from end to end.

Broken bones are not permanent, right? :biggrin:
And if the guy was way bigger than me, I'd find a 2x4, knife, gun if I had one, etc.. I mean, I wouldn't kill the guy, but if he got froggy, then i'd take out a kneecap or something. :wink:

i do have large pics of the car i will post them up. But an Update on my car. I shipped it out yesterday and its headed towards Japan. It was sad seeing her put in a container but atleast i know she is safe. Before anyone ask About the shipping company ,its a military contracted shipping company where you store or ship your car so i can assure you i'mma get my car =) So i got my dinky rental right now. I have about 9 more days left in California then off to Japan!

Damn Kim that's a crazy story. Glad it worked out okay.

So are you moving to Japan for good? When will you be back?
 
Now if you had the "trunk monkey" no worries! BTW if it was a youngish looking doofus,maybe he heard on line that any honda key will open nsx trunks,kinda like John Deer tracters:rolleyes:

naw not for good jimbo. Probably like 4 or more years if i like it.. then maybe it would be for good. We'll see what happends.

I had a trunk moneky but it appealed to its Union the TMUA( Trunk Monkey Union of America) and stated that NSX trunks was To small for working conditions and had it passed. -_-

i think i met you at the meets in camarillo i was the asian guy with Gary Hib (the guy with the black evo)and Thanh N.(s2000) your the Hispanic marine guy with the black nsx and carbon fiber hood right?

Yeah, that was me, I remember you. You're gonna love Japan. I spent a year in Okinawa, so I can imagine Tokyo being that much better. I'm gonna see if I can get orders back to Okinawa before the Marines get moved to Guam. Good luck out there. [email protected], hit me up if you ever need anything.
