Cars and Styling that have been

I tried to stay honest with picking cars that I thought were revolutionary, but I think I may have just picked cars I like.

1. 1965 Sunbeam Tiger
2. 1964 1/2 Mustang
3. Not to be bias, but I would also include our NSX

Mojo'

hmmm... Oh man, oh man!

Alltime Greats in terms of stirring the soul:
Gold: 1991 Acura NSX
Silver: 1965 Aston Martin DB5
Bronze: 1995 Ferrari F50 hardtop

Other notable & inspiring contenders:
- Ferrari F1Modena (1999-2004)
- 2nd gen. Acura Legend sedan & coupe (1991-1995)
- Aston Martin Vanquish (2001+)
- Corvette Stingray (1969)
- Lotus Esprit (1976-2004)
- 1st gen. Lexus GS300 (1993-1997)
- Porsche 550 Spyder (1953-1956)

Wildcards:
* Ferrari Testarossa
* Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing Coupe (1954-1957)

Lambo Miura
Ferrari 288 GTO tied with F40
Ferrari 250 GT Cali Spyder

1. Ferrari F40 - raw and badass, I loved the countach until this displayed what a real car was
2. Mclaren F1 - unreal still today and the driver is in the center of the car like in F1
3. NSX - I am still as crazy about this car as I was the first time I saw it 15 years ago and that has to say something.

There are a lot of other incredible cars in the previous posts and it would be interesting to see the age of the poster vs. the cars they are moved by. I am 28 and these are all cars that I kinda grew up with.
LOL honorable mention - When I was about 5 I would have chose the Adam west Batmobile, knight rider and the general lee. Not necessarily in that order! :biggrin:

LOL I was thinking about the Pacer, but I didn't want to put it down. My parents had one when I was little for about a year and I thought it was cool because the back seats folded down! :biggrin:

1. Lamborghini Miura SV - the most beautiful car ever made
2. 1963 Chevy Corvette Split Window - no other Corvette even comes close
3. Shelby Cobra - yes, it's basically an AC Ace but esp. with the 427 motor, it exudes all power no bullshit.

sorry... it would help if I read the rules. post edited to only include three cars.

Bat Tank
Lamborghini Diablo
F355

BTW. How do you make love to your car? I just love mine so much! :biggrin:

The cars that revolutionized the industry? Easy- The Ford Model T

The cars that give me an emotional reaction?

Hotrods- anything built by hand. The sheer effort to create these machines has far greater emotional content than any production line could infuse. Production cars have window stickers, Hot Rods have life stories.

I really just like cars- I have no real affiliation to obey, so I will say my top 10 are all over the board- in no particular order

1970 Mustang Fastback- (particularly the Boss 302)
1967 Corvette Stingray coupe (the final evolution of a great design)
Lamboghini Countach
Ferrari- any Ferrari
1970 Corvette Stingray- those sharp, round curves, and the chrome bumpers.
Toyota 2000GT- I just saw my first one two weeks ago and can't get it out of my head.
1994-2001 Acura Integra- I had one, loved it. Fun car to play with, and lots of cheap mods available
1991-2005 Acura NSX- a cut above, and rare enough to be exclusive
S2000 - fun- drop top
Porsche 911 in all it's evolutions

I am sure there are cars on my list people will disagree with- but then I guess that is why it is MY list.

3 OR LESS PEOPLE... :smile:
Or format it such as Prova chose to do.
that works as well.

Pacer..... :biggrin:

Mustang II
Vega (1976 Cosworth of course)
Pacer
I think you should add the Gremlin and Pinto to your list! :biggrin: :biggrin:

OH ALRIGHT! Just 3 then...

The cars that revolutionized the industry?

1. The Ford Model T- CARS FOR EVERYONE! The average household could now obtain a horseless carriage- the rest of industry gel'd to the rythm of Henry Ford's drum.

2. Mustang Fastback- Introduced the American pony car catagory! The fastback set the silhouette that spawned a generation of American Muscle (IMO of course)

3. Corvette- This car in all it's various model years represents an American dream for many generations of men in this country. Most of my friends, and their Dad's or Son's would answer "yes" to the question- "Would you like to own a Corvette?" That answer is usually followed by the phrase "but not a new one".
Personally? I would love to have a 70' T-top

3 cars that "Stir my soul"

1. 1970 Boss 302- preferably Yellow- I have a distinct memory of one I got to drive when I was in highschool- I can still smell the exhaust.

2. 1994 Acura NSX- something about it still puts a big stupid grin on my face everytime I drive it (often, but not "too often")

3. Jeep Wrangler- I love those damn things. I really like the "Jeep Wave" you get from other Jeep drivers when you are riding around on a sunny day. My roomate has a yellow one that I drive occasionally. Cruising with the top down, and the doors off is a blast, not to mention the "go almost anywhere" capabilities. I am planning to buy a used one next Spring after my car is paid off.

you folks have put up some nice cars, that's for sure... i'll say "yup" to most of them and add a few personal favorites:

* NSX (pop-up light versions)

* '63 studebaker avanti (R3, R4, R5 :) for those of you who may not know of this car:
Supercharged V8 engine—Some versions of the Avanti's V8 engine have Paxton superchargers. One experimental version, the R5, has two superchargers and fuel injection, and is claimed to develop 575 bhp and an amazing 196 mph.

* '68 volvo P1800

they're unique in their own right.
