Ok, I pulled the carpet out of my 1991 this weekend and it is totally shot. It is the Ivory interior, so I'm not surprised really, but it definitely needs replacement. Anyone have any suggestions (places to buy, ideas, etc).

Thanks,
Scott

You can go to the dealer or post in the parts wanted section to find used.

Thanks Brian, I checked on acuraoemparts.com and it seems to be about a 1200 buck deal. I have to decide how much ruined carpets are going to annoy me

How difficult was it to remove your carpeting? I was thinking of replacing my ivory carpeting as well. Has anyone just purchased auto carpeting by the yard instead of getting oem? It would likely be much cheaper.

Does anyone know if I could use the later model year(say 2005) OEM carpet for my 92 NSX? The reason that I am asking is that the replacement carpet in the later year cars is a lot cheaper than the 92's. $1,355 vs $890.32.

Yes you can. I just replaced mine with the red

I am also looking to replace my carpeting.
I agree the $1200 for carpet seems like a lot of money considering the amount of carpet needed.
That would be something like $300 per yard and you need to install it yourself.:frown:
GROUP BUY??
As the cars age I feel most of us will be looking at this type of maintenance/up-grade in the near future.

Any ideas; Hrant?

I was just told by another member who had done the carpet replacement in his 92. He also used the new 2005 red carpet (they're nice).

I checked with numerous dealers so far and found that the OEM carpet pieces of the newer year model (2002-2005)NSX's are a lot cheaper than the earlier year (i have a 92) OEM carpet pieces.

For the 05 carpets $902.80 (283.46 x 2 + 167.94 x 2) vs the 0242 carpets $1,478 (421 x 2 + 318 x 2). I was shocked to find the price diff so I started to ask people about whether I could use 2005 carpets in my 92 NSX and the answer is YES!
