another thread that has taken a couple of twists/turns has me wondering if any prime carfax customers have been actively surveyed by carfax for feedback on their biz model (usage, pricing, etc) and/or your satisfaction with their product/services.

i have paid for carfax service in the past and never received a follow-on survey after my 1 month usage license expired. if you have paid for carfax usage in the past 12 months, can you make a quick y/n response to the ?: have you been contacted/surveyed for feedback on their biz model (usage, pricing, etc) and/or your satisfaction with their product/services?

I paid for a month of Carfax back in March. I was something of a bad boy with my month and got a form letter warning from them after I'd ran about 30 reports. Other than that, I never heard from them again until...

I was contacted by a Carfax employee a few weeks ago in response to a post I made here on prime where I speculated that Carfax tolerates a good bit of sharing because it spreads their brand. This person confirmed my guess but said they were clamping down recently. One might surmise that they feel their brand is well enough established, that now it's time to work on the cash flow. :)

Used the service..never got survey

It almost seems like they really don't care what "Car nuts" think

Seems like they are making their $ on people that buy a used car once every 5 years or so and they have the old ma bell attitude..."We're the phone company...we don't have to care"
