Carbon/Kevlar Clutch.. Any out there for NSX?

The multiple puck configuration is designed for track use to achieve a very lightweight drivetrain. In general, this design makes the car much more difficult to drive on the street. Due to this, feathering of the clutch is needed to not stall the car. Feathering will accelerate wear from heat build up.

Due to this, a multiple puck design will not be more durable.

This same situation is the same reason I believe that the multi-plate clutches including the stock clutch seem to wear unusually fast. To prevent this, you can try to engage the clutch quicker rather than feathering. With practice of rev matching and blipping the throttle, you can eliminate the jerky movements that would result.

There is a carbon/carbon clutch manufactured for the NSX which has carbon friction material secured to the plates and flywheel. This material has extremely static engagement though (either engaged or not engaged) so it would not be recommended for the street. Should have it up soon.
