for those that want some extra insurance,
especially for those with aftermarket composite hoods,
i've got NRG Carbon Fiber Hood Pins and Locks.
it's a small price to pay to prevent your hood from popping up unexpectingly while driving. even hoods with built in latches will pop open and smash your windshield and dent your roof severly. im sure you've seen your friend's damaged car and he had told you "because I didnt use hood pins".
don't let it happen to you.
air pressure builds up underneath the hood and forces the hood to break open. the surface area underside of the hood is large enough to push the hood up. the single latch alone wont be strong enough to hold it.
get these locks to add on to your "in case shiesse happens" list of parts, and raise your hood holding down security to level 3.
