Interesting bit of information.

You can't order the carbon fiber engine cover as a spare part, or at all (currently).

You have to order it with the car.

However, you can order the non cf cover with no problem.

So, I am thinking about getting a quote from the vendors for building/covering one.

However, I don't know if the heat will cook it or the clear coat.

If you reach out to the NSX Specialists, I believe they will be able to allow ordering of a non Factory Installed Feature (FIF).

Acura originally set things up to no allow changes from the original build configuration. They later started allowing such changes but it is unclear how widely the info is known.

For example, the Specialist said I could get order the sport pedal set that came with the CF interior package.

I thought I did one better and had a conversation with a corp representative (retired) who has some juice.

He told me that HONDA was "undecided" as to wether they are going to offer or not.

For the present, the answer was "NO".

I will be doing an after market one from a company here in S. Flo cost is 800-1000 they created a mold and get it done.. ill post pics when done !!

I thought that they would just (not to simplify the procedure, it's an art!) use the OEM as a "core" and lay cf on top of it.
