Had the same problem with a brand new DuraLast Gold battery! Voltage was high but turn the key and just clicking. Was confusing until I used a 100 amp battery load tester, voltage dropped to 8 volts! Turns out an internal buss bar broke between cells, you could actualy see it through the watering hole in one cell. Took the battery back to AutoZone and replaced it free, problem solved! High charge voltage alone is only a rule of thumb for testing a battery, you really need to load it down to be sure. Also replaced my engine and body ground straps to fix a weak ground issue. Now my headlights are bright again!
