BOOSTANZA!!

LOL.......:):):)

The issue with Banditt's car was his ABS, TCS systems were all screwed up. The ABS computer is dead, causing the TCS computer to throw codes since it was not getting wheel speed signals from the ABS, yes, one system feeds the other. The main ECU was throwing codes that the TCS was screwed up, so it was all a mess. The TCS also indicated that the throttle position signal was incorrect.

The real issue here was the indicator lights for the ABS and TCS were removed!! I am sure this was done deliberately to hide these issues. Once I realized that, I pulled the dash, installed the bulbs and was able to read a slew of codes.

Yesterday I did not have a spare ABS computer to test. The symptom was that when the car was first started it had no power, after a 1/2 mile or so, WHEN THE TCS SHUT DOWN, all was well:). Unfortunately without ABS And TCS indicators it was not obvious what was going wrong.

The short term, most cost effective fix at this time was to disable the TCS by unpulling it. Car runs great all the time now:).

Ditto--a couple of years ago Dr. Larry did a snap ring repair on my car. The car was dropped off at his place at 12:30 and he had me on the phone by 5:00 with the tranny out and dx'd. Great guy, great service.

I might as well pitch in too....

A while ago Larry actually took time from his day to call me and assist me when I knew he already had a busy schedule. Larry is the real deal and goes well out of his way to help the nsx community.

Thanks a bunch,
x

Larry,

Sorry could you elaborate further? Just curious, I still don't understand what was wrong...please excuse the ignorance...

Neither do I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is why for now I chose to disconnect the TCS system, and get the car running properly. There is at least a hard failure indicated by the ABS computer, once that is functional, it will be time to troubleshoot the rest:).
