after i lowered my 97-t with tein coilovers, i noticed whenever i angle over to get over a bump or angle to get on a steep driveway, the rear will make like cracking and popping sound. and the T-top will make a nice squeaking sound as well, it sounds bad. but it only happens while angling over a bump or steep driveway. any ideas what it could be?

Mine was doing the same thing for months. Annoyed me to no end. I thought it was something serious. I took it to my mechanic and all he did was loosen and re-tighten the bolts in the suspension of the corner that the noise was coming from.

I had recently had new shocks put in, so it seems that a bolt just vibrated loose and allowed the parts to move against each other under the load of coming up an angle.

Worth looking at.
Hope it helps,
Cory

I have sworn of Tein. Every, and I mean every car that I have ever put Tein coilovers on, has had noises that come from the pillowball mounts. These have been MR2s.

I had similar (squeak) problems after installing Bilsteins on lower pearch. The noise was gone after I installed solid collars (made by Al Terpak). I heard now Dali has made some as well. Do a search and you should find the link/s or, PM me.

I appreciate all the suggestion. I will update you guys as soon as the problems are fixed.

Last time I heard something similar happen was on my friend's car. He installed a set of coilovers and then everytime after the car corners there was a popping sound just like the ones you mentioned.

End up finding out the sound was coming from a loosen sway bar. So better check if you have those properly tightened.
