Not every state requires emissions testing. If the title never changed hands either, it's possible there are no transactions that would show up in a Carfax report during that period.

thanks so much for running the carfax. hmm it is a bit misterious cuz the owner said the car has 48k miles. I'll ask him if he was the 2nd owner and why the mileage doesn't show on the carfax. but no history of accident, theft, flood? i.e. salvage title? I think I'll go and check the car out.

i traded in my 96T for a jag 3 months ago. i thought i could do without an nsx. i guess i was wrong.
we are going to the sec of states office next wednesday to finalize.
