Car Came W/ No Remote For Keyless

i HAVE A 1992 W/ SECURITY AND KEYLESS OPTION I HAVE NO REMOTE. The dealer claims this part number is discontinued! Called Kenwood communications (they made it for Acura) they gave me the stroke.
Please help!!!!!!!!!

I know I got one a few months ago for my 1999 NSX. I don't know if the part number is different for a 1992. I got mine from Cush Acura in San Diego so you may want to give them a call just to check. www.cush.com

I bought a key at the same time and I know for one of the two they needed to know the VIN. I think it was for the remote but not positive on that one. Good luck!

It is my understanding the 1991-1992 Keyless systems are N/A. There was a run on them a year or so ago, but you would have to find old stock to get a complete setup. Not sure is "some" Acura dealers have some in stock.

The dealer is telling you the truth - they are no longer available from Honda. There is no more stock on available on the 91-92 OEM Keyless entry kit. They got real low in 2003 and pretty much ran out in 2004 (based on what I have read on Prime). Cush Acura had one or two, but that was back in early 2004. You might try them.
Also, the 93+ version of the keyless won't work on a 91-92 NSX.

is the keyless remote an option in every car? i have the same problem when i got my car without the remote. i went to acura dealer and they told me i have to buy the whole module. just curious.

Unfortunately, the remotes seem to be preset to the keyless module in our cars. I know my Accord can "learn" remotes, but for sure the 1991-92 NSX's cannot. I am under the impression the 93+ units do not "learn" either, but after 1997 that may have changed.
