I had taped the TopGear featuring the NSX Type-R doing a lap on video. Now, with a new PC, a managed to capture it to mpeg.
It's only a short clip (about 2 minutes) but it's still 25Mb. I have now way of hosting it myself and was wondering if Prime (Lud) might be interested.

PLEASE no Windows Media Format.

MPEG4 is so much nicer and cross-platform friendly.

Thanks,
Jim

And why not put both version (.mpg and .wmv) on-line.

Both would be cool. No arguments about formats, guys!

"Judge PHOEN$X" I don't think there was an argument. Just trying to get your post count up i see.

Great clip, I cant believe they ran it on a wet track. Seems like they never compare apples to apples when it comes to the NSX.

BITer,

Thanks very much for hosting the file.

I think TopGear could have paid a little more attention to the NSX. Especially since it was faster in the rain than a 575M and Vanquish on a dry track. Maybe it was just not 'new' enough in their view.

They drove the car in the rain, because on the day of filming, it was err... raining. A lot of other cars were also in the rain too, it is England after all. The NSX did do really well, faster than a Audi RS6 with 4WD and 400+bhp. The MB SL55 AMG did the same time as the NSX. Anything that was really faster were special track day cars like the Radical, and the Zonda. I think TopGear were impressed.

I was told by Honda bringing the car to the UK, and doing some press, was to gauge reaction as to whether to bring a number of cars in to the UK. Press reaction was good everywhere it went, so we'll wait and see.

Hurrah! About time!!!

TopGears first review on the NSX was less than inspiring... and since they are the only TV car show/reviewers, i can't help but wonder if Tiff's lack of enthusasim poured cold water on the success of the NSX in the UK (and possibly around the world).

Honda needs to get out there and do a bit more Marketing and getting press-coverage. Long overdue.

I don't think so... PHOEN$X was just mediating.

If he wanted to boost his post-count, he would have posted a pointless bouncy smiley or something similar. ;)
