just wondering if anybody would have pics of
- a gold wheels on a red nsx
- a black wheels on a red nsx

poll? :)

I say silver!!! Red needs some shine IMO. But between the two colors you suggested, black with a polished lip. (this was my previous NSX)

Forgive the poor photoshopping, but I vote gold:

Silver (Very nice photo TitaniumVtec!!!)

But since the only options are gold or black, i'd say gold. Gold looks more defined; black is too dark on a red car. (on a black car, black rims = pure evil :D)

Black for comparison:

i used to have red with gold GTN's on there. i personally liked them a lot. and a lot of local JDM enthusiasts and stuff also did. but for the majority of people they don't get 'why gold?'... i ran silver blitz technospeeds for a while and generally the public seemed to be more comfortable around silver rims. but who cares... personally i like the red/gold combination a lot~!!!

If it HAS to be black or gold then definately gold, imo black always looks terrible unless it has a polished deep dish outer rim on a black car.

they both look good,

especially the black rims on an early car (with black roof)...
personally even without a polished lip would look nice, (look at Andrie's car in his avatar) but it had to be lowered to make it loook good...

Now, hands down on Gold...... I love them... They looked very very good... and there's not a lot of people had gold wheels on their cars. (Just stay away from those Bling Bling Gold rims and you be fine.....)

Here's one i took at the parking lot of SuperAutoBacs in Yokohama last Jan ;)

I don't like either. With black you cannot see the wheels at all.. they might as well be stock..

With gold.. you just look too bling..

i respect your opinion; i tend to agree.
Don't you think gold can work without appearing bling -- largely dependant on the style of rim?

not that there's anything wrong with looking bling. :D

i guess 'gold' has been seen on wire style wheels on lowriders and for that reason it carries the resemblence of being 'bling bling.' i originally intended on going with gold only cuz i knew some JDM style cars were rocking those gold on red :)

sigh... oh well... i ditched the gold, went to silver, and now im probably going with gunmetal on my new color setup.... TBA :D

For me Gold BBS LM's or TE 37's has always been what I imagined for my NSX but I suppose another thing is the colour of your roof.
