Another fine race... great finish for Coulthard (gridded 8th, finished 2nd) and Barrichello.

Was kinda curious -- with all of Montoya's engine failures lately (and Ralf's seeming to survive), might it have something to do with him ?? Maybe his aggressive driving style, whilst impressive, is just too hard on the cars ??

JPM is paid to drive hard. If his engine expires, then it is his mechanics that are at fault.

Fact - Michael and JPM were both shifting in the 17-18,000 RPM range. Only when MS had a comfy lead, did he let off to about 16-17,000 RPM.

Telemetry shows that JPM and Ralf were both at the 17-18,000 RPM range, so why is it "presumed" that the former is at fault? In fact, it was Ralf that missed the chicane more than JPM; therefore, it could be argued that *he* was the abuser, no?

nothing is being presumed... was just curious if "driving style" might be a factor

JPM DOES push them harder than most. Was watching practice, qualifying and race at Brasil GP 2001 (was right there when he slipstreamed MS up the bumpy front straight, took him on the inside left hander turn 1, then pushed him to the dirty outside)... in a class of late/hard brakers, he was the only one who was lighting up his REAR brakes. Everyone else just lit up the front rotors.

I believe Ralf's engine expired with one or 2 laps to go (maybe even on the last lap).
