Being a 92, its more than 15 years old. Tell the buyer to double check riv.ca.

You can import a vehicle from the United States without registering it with the RIV program if one of the following applies:

The vehicle is 15 years old or older (excluding buses). The age of a vehicle is determined by the month and year it was manufactured. Do not use the model year. The age is located on the manufacturer's compliance label in the doorframe area of the vehicle. If no compliance label is attached, contact the manufacturer to find out the exact date that the vehicle was manufactured and obtain a letter from the manufacturer as a proof of age of the vehicle.

Yes, he needs some form of document showing that there are no outstanding vehicle recalls. Usually you get it from the manufacturer, but American Honda is not the most co-operative in this regards. What I did was sign up on the My Acura site (http://owners.acura.com/), input the VIN, and then it will show whether there are any outstanding vehicle recalls. He can then print out that page as proof.

He doesn't need a clearance letter. If he's really paranoid and assumed that its less than 15 years old then all you have to do is go to the Honda/Acura of America website and enter the VIN, print that off. It's just as good as a letter according to RIV. Even though I didn't need that when importing mine, I did that as well as I contacted a dealership in the USA who was more than willing to write me a clearance letter even though the purchase had nothing to do with them.

NOT NEEDED for 15 year old or more vehicle 100%

I hope this Bad Boy is coming to southern Ontario.

(Where I can actually see it..... )

Hope so, Cam. It will be great to meet you!

Jackfast - if your buyer is unsure of the whole importation process have him contact Will Zaraska at Willz.ca as he can do the importation for him for a cost.

I've always loved that car's looks. It looks spectacular!

Before you sell it, make sure it can be registered in the province where the buyer is

Armando and his cars don't have a great history around here......
