Can we get the '02 NSX-R hood in the U.S.A.?

I just installed a new rear wing this past weekend, props to Vinny H. @ Allcar Services in Florida for the flawless prep and paintwork, and now I'm ready to do something to my hood to finish the look. That type R hood is so damn sexy. The raised lip around the opening, which I understand helps to create the downforce, looks awesome! I know I'll need to do the headlights as well if I go this route. If I can't find a way to get my hands on the "R" hood I'll probably go with the Dali option where they modify an oem hood and add the scoop and a ramp to channel the air up and over the hood. Anyone who's gone this route please chime in and share your impressions. Thanks!
Scott

The new R hood would only work with the new 02 front end. It will not fit on a 91-01 front end without modifications.

Retrofitting a NSX-R-like hood on an older front end would probably involve one of:
- JDM aftermarket (am sure they have a RHD version; whether these work with our LHD cars is unknown)
- take an OE aluminum hood and custom-make (Dali?) single scoop that looks like it

LMK if you need a donor hood

Manuel,
I hope you've been doing well since I saw you last at Sebring. I'll have some new pix soon and I'll be sure to post some for you. Are you in FL or IL now? Sure would be great to see you at the "Summer Basch" event later this month. Take care,
Scott

Scott, thanks for the message.

We're back in IL now (as of late February), but might be moving again soon. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun at "Summer Basch", and I'm sure you're all enjoying "the boost", even moreso when all the tuning gets sorted out. Wish I was there... had originally hoped to get BBSC as well.

Take care -- Manuel
