hi guys,
I'm about 6 4 tall and i was wondering if it is possible to make the oem seats wider to give more hip clearance? With a thinner cushion i can get down low enough but my hips hit the side of the seat and makes it very uncomfortable.
Can the sides of the seats be manipulated out to give more room?
Thanks

Yes. Take the seat out of the car, remove the bottom cushion, and then remove the side bolster covers. Bend the aluminum shell of the seat so that it’s comfortable and then put the side bolster covers back on.

The seat bottom is kind of V-shaped so the lower you make the bottom cushion, the tighter the seat gets. But the aluminum shell is soft enough in that area that you can bend it with your hands.

Thanks greenberet, good to know.

i literally ripped all the stuffing out of 2/3 pads on my seat. The part your butt sits on and the pad in front of that has no padding, so I literally am sitting on the leather cushion on the frame. Cant get much lower than that, no recaro will get that low lol.
